LifeAfter is an "open world doomsday survival game"[1] created by NetEase, released December 17, 2018, and February 28, 2019 in the United States. It is playable on Android and iOS and is available via the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. There is also a PC version available, released on July 30th, 2020.

LifeAfter had great commercial success in China, where it entered the market in November 2018 titled as 明日之后 (The Day After Tomorrow). On February 28, 2019, NetEase released an English version of the game. LifeAfter received the age rating Mature 17+ after its release.

Gameplay[]

In LifeAfter, the players join a challenging survival scenario where they need to explore the environment to gather Resources, learn how to build a safe base and how to Craft Items. Other core gameplay features at the heart of the game are PvE and PvP. There is a Trade City where players can make purchases of items in the game such as Armor, Weapons, Furniture and many more. The currency used to make the purchase is called Goldbars and there are numerous exciting ways to obtain it.

How to play[]

Character Customization[]

Customization of the character is part of the role-playing experience of LifeAfter. When a game starts, players can choose to either be a normal human or a revenant. Players can customize the look of their character, and can play either as female or male. Clothes, Hair and Face can be adjusted. After a satisfying result, players can name their character or randomize this process.

Pets[]

After the character customization, players reach a new window to customize their pet companion, which is a dog. Players can choose from three races, Black-back, which resembles a german shepherd, Doberman and a Labrador. There are options to change the colour of the collar and the animal's fur. When there is a satisfying result, the dog also can receive a name or players can use a random name. The dog can do a set of different actions and act on command. The players can teach the dog new skills.

Raid manor of random players or take revenge on the raiders of your manor after you sign up for Manor Safety Simulation.

3. Training Arena[]

The Training Arena will be available during 10:00-14:00 and 17:00-24:00 every day with a duration of 32 days, 10 days break after season ends. It is a 3v3 cross-server matching mode. To participate in it, your Gathering, Crafting, and Combat must reach Lv. 50. Survivors can participate in a total of 8 matches per day through solo or team matching at the Training Arena Event in their Camp or Hope 101. In team match mode, all survivors must be within 3 tier classes of each other.

5. Charles Town Clash[]

Camp mayor can register for CTC. 16 camps will compete in 4 different competitions. The final camp winner will gain the Occupation Rights of Charles Town.

6. Shelter Land Showdown[]

Happens once in a blue moon. The Super Clash will complete the ranking settlement of each server. The final winning camp will have the right to manage the Shelter Land and enjoy more camp privileges and rewards. The management right will last until the end of the next decisive battle sanctuary.

7. Resource Scramble[]

Event occurs every Monday with random timing between 20:00 until 22:00 in-game time.
